Use the included 160 quart stock pot basket for frying chicken, fish or hushpuppies; steaming or boiling seafood, clams and vegetables. Uses for the 160 quart stock pot without the basket includes boiling soups, stews, gumbo, jambalaya and low country boils. When using a large stock pot like this one, we use the KAB6 outdoor propane burner which will bring this pot to a boil within about 30 minutes. If you want the biggest and the baddest burner, then purchase the KAB4 outdoor propane burner. The KAB6 burner will bring this pot to a boil in about 15 minutes. The Bayou Classic 160 and 100 quart aluminum stock pots are thicker than most restaurant quality aluminum stock pots.
